The Executive of the National youth council of Nigeria, Boki local Government Chapter, led by their Chairman’ Comr. Ekeiwe Douglas, paid a courtesy visit to the commissioner for Tourism, Arts And Culture’ Cross River State, Hon.Chief Robert Abubakar Ewa in his office earlier today, to seek partnership with the ministry for the production of the Boki Economy and Socio-cultural Heritage magazine.
Speaking, the Boki NYCN Chairman, Comr. Ekeiwe Douglas disclosed that, the magazine is poised to highlight the migration history of Boki, the culture/festivals and tourism potentials as well as the economic values of Boki. Further appealed to the Commissioner to aid them drive to a sucess, this vision of theirs which they have brought to the Government for partnership and accomplishment.
He also appealed to cross River State Government to support Boki Youths in the area of Agriculture through provision of varieties of crop seedlings and capital to enhance their agricultural produce.
The commissioner, Hon Chief. Robert A. Ewa, in his response stated that, Boki is strategically positioned and blessed with Cultural, Tourism, Agricultural and economic values that can create wealth and development for Boki and Cross River State. He charged them to be integrated,productive and positive in their attitude for effective drive of their policies which will contribute to enhance cultural and economic growth in Boki and the State, as the Governor of Cross River State, Sen. Prince Bassey Otu is passionate about empowering young people in the state to be productive, create value for themselves and the State.
He assured the youth body of support from the ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture in the production of the Boki-Economy and Socio-cultural Heritage magazine.
Those present in the meeting were, Comr. Ekeiwe Douglas-Nycn Chairman Boki chapter, Rt Hon.Victor kejuo-Speaker of Cross River State youth parliament, Comr. Ochabe Roland- Nycn councilor Beebo/Bumaji ward, HRM Glorious Busa-Miss political Nigeria and other members of the Boki NYCN executive.
